Today was definitely a step in the right direction. I got back on track with both my gym visits and my 30 day squat challenge, took care of errands (I eat this week!) and edited a couple more chapters. I have now, officially, reached the halfway point! The question remains, can I really get it done by the end of the month.
I'm still using the 30 minute timer idea, though I consistently reset it for another 30 minutes as it just isn't enough. Typically, I'll work on the editing for 60-90 minutes at a pop, though I've yet to do more than one session a day. I hope to improve on that tomorrow when I don't have to go out until the evening.
Of course, today was a bit unusual because my daughter started texting me about fires in her area, and concerns about having to evacuate with all of her critters and, naturally, that occupied my mind. Fortunately, she's a ways south of most of the conflagrations, but on the other hand, if she is forced to evacuate and decides to head back to my place (I'm concerned that the evacuation centers won't be happy about some of her brood), she'll have to get past the areas north of her which are, perhaps, even worse off. I'm keeping my thoughts positive that her area will be safe and that she will not have to pack up what she can fit into her Prius on short notice and skedaddle!
Though there were many fires in and around our neighborhood when she was growing up, we are, thankfully, far enough from any open areas to have avoided anything coming close, and never had to consider an evacuation. I know she was always nervous when our valley had flames on one side or another (sometimes, more than one), so, short of doing a rain dance, I'm just keeping my thoughts for the safety of her and her neighbors very positive.
Good old So Cal. The original land of Shake 'n bake! But somehow, we always manage to get through another fire season, some folks a little worse for the wear than others. (maybe a rain dance wouldn't be such a bad idea!)
I refuse to mire myself in doom and gloom, though. Instead, I just ask for as much positive energy as possible to protect those in the paths of currently burning fires, and to help minimize any more erupting. May those who are inclined to set fires when the weather is hot and dry think twice, even three times about the people and animals they put in jeopardy. May they think first about how they'd feel if it was their home and memories smoldering. And then, may they find a more productive way of expressing themselves.
My gratitudes tonight are:
1. I am grateful for our emergency response people who work extra hard this time of year to protect the people who might find themselves in the path of a wild fire.
2. I am grateful for the wisdom my daughter gained through years of watching hillsides burn.
3. I am grateful for the positive energy which is gathering over those affected by fires.
4. I am grateful for cooling temperatures which are promised by the end of the week.
5. I am grateful for big, soggy rainstorms which make our land inhospitable to flames.
Love and light.
Welcome to my Journey
Hello, and welcome to my Journey. Over the last few years I have been learning more about my personal journey, my Path and my Soul Purpose. The further I travel, the easier I find it to share my journey with others, and to learn from their journeys as well. The most recent evolution has caused me to expand my Universe and allow more people access to my travels, as well as allowing me access to more people, their travels and what they have learned as they walk their own paths. Feel free to share your journey here as we all have much to learn in our lives as Divine Beings having a Human experience.
Love and Light.
