Welcome to my Journey

Hello, and welcome to my Journey. Over the last few years I have been learning more about my personal journey, my Path and my Soul Purpose. The further I travel, the easier I find it to share my journey with others, and to learn from their journeys as well. The most recent evolution has caused me to expand my Universe and allow more people access to my travels, as well as allowing me access to more people, their travels and what they have learned as they walk their own paths. Feel free to share your journey here as we all have much to learn in our lives as Divine Beings having a Human experience.

Love and Light.

July 10, 2013 Busy, busy, busy as a bee, bee, bee

Lately, I hold off titling my post until I've gotten it written because I found that the title I started with rarely fit by the time I reached the end of my evening ramble.  Tonight, I didn't even have a clue what to title it, so what you now see evolved from my brain's joyful, aimless frolic.

The big news today is that it's raining...in July...in Sunny So Cal!  Right on cue, as predicted by the migraine story I read last week, the change in barometric pressure made my vision go goofy this morning and I had to meditate myself away from what might have been a nasty headache.  Not a bad thing, in the general scheme of things because I like to get a daily meditation in.  I've also found that it is one way I can assure myself that I completely relax as I focus on breathing deeply and smoothly.  Today was no exception and I came out of the meditation an hour later, very relaxed and without the screaming headache.

In line with my feelings of increased activity and craziness, work has really picked up in the last couple of weeks.  I seem to have more than enough to do and am putting in some extra time right now while looking forward to the end of the month, trying to map out all of the tasks I must complete by the end of July.

I like being busy because it makes the time pass, but it also meant that I missed the window when I could get really good Rascal Flatts tickets for Heather's birthday.  The ones I got aren't bad, just not up to the standards I'd set for the last couple of years.  But Heather is happy as she says that no matter where the tickets are, we'll have a good time.  And we do!

I'm finding myself spending more time thinking about having a human to share part of my life with.  I look at pictures on Facebook of acquaintances who are out with the friends, hanging out at different places and sometimes I get a little envious.  I know that isn't really me, but that I like to be around people in smaller doses.  I enjoy my time alone, whether I'm just futzing around with a cat or two snuggled near, or actually working on a project or getting things ready for the next day or two.  In a lot of ways, I really am a loner.

I don't really see myself as a hermit who lives far away from people and only ventures forth when he really has to.  In fact, I  do some of my recharging when I'm around people.  But more of it is done when I'm working out alone at the gym or curled up on the sofa with a cat and a book or my iPad.  I may spend an our or so playing a game on the computer, or look around and decide to do some decluttering like I did last weekend.  It might only be a small space, but when I look at that space without all of the stuff piled up and falling off of it, I just feel better!  I did that last weekend when I got several months worth of bills filed away.  I look at the space where they sat and, at first, feel good about the clearing, and then I think that I can do more!

I've been fishing around for another habit to make, despite the fact that my gym attendance is not as regular as I'd like.  Yes, I'm still going at least twice, if not three times a week, but I'm not always going on the pre-planned days.

I realized that what I need to get back to is using my fitness tracker to keep track of meals and exercise.  It really made a difference when I used it before, but the truth is, I just got lazy.  So, for the next 30 days, my goal is to post all of my meals and exercise on the tracker and watch my progress.  I'd also like to add in at least one day a week on the Wii, but I won't beat myself up if that one waits until the fitness tracker habit is ingrained.  This habit forming is best done without overloading myself.

Before I forget, I have to mention that I am very proud of my daughter, Heather, who got me started blogging.  She now has her own blog up and running and is beginning to use it in much the same way I do, for the moment.  She's setting her intentions, and I can't help but be proud and send her lots of positive energy for her endeavors.  (of course, I know that a lot of people are anxious to read about some of her baking creations too!)

I can't wait to see what she fills her space with!!!

Another short post tonight as my mind is just wandering off in too many random directions.

My gratitudes tonight are:
1. I am grateful for evidence of my expectations that life's pace would be increasing.
2. I am grateful for finding my newest habit.
3. I am grateful for rainy summer nights.
4. I am grateful for several nights of sleeping deeply.
5. I am grateful for being increasingly productive.

Love and light.

  1. Just don't forget to take time to relax too. You seem quite busy.

    1. Thank you, Laura. Despite appearances, there is definitely relax time in there. Sometimes it's just well hidden inside some other activity that I find relaxing.

  2. Sometimes random is fun! When things get too hectic it can sure feel luxurious to recall times when you could just ramble and choose what you want to do, rather then feel like you're just trying to "hit every tennis ball they throw you." You seem to be keen on staying aware, so this will help even through the most hectic of your days -- so long as you remember that there are rhythms to it all and hectic will pass too.

    1. Nancy, you're absolutely right. There is usually a rhyme to my random, though at times, it takes a few days to figure out what it is. That's when I figure the Universal headslaps come in to get my attention when I'm too slow! :)
